Clean water and hygiene education program

Posted by:

SCVD has produced a clean water and hygiene education program to distribute to schools, orphanages, hospitals/health centres, places of worship, and other community clean water sites. It is vital that the communities understand not only the benefits of clean water, but also the importance of hygiene, including using clean utensils to collect the water, and washing hands regularly.  The community leaders are made responsible, through our joint venture agreement with them, to run training programs using the booklet provided.  They are also responsible for maintenance of the water system, security, and provision of a generator and fuel.  School children are requested to take the lessons learned in the classroom on clean water and hygiene back to their families, to create more awareness in the  community.
